 Mr. Choong started his career as a consultant in Corporate Learning Centre, specializing in training & consulting projects in the aspects of Operations/Quality Management system, such as Japanese 5S, TPM, TQM, QCC, and Inventory Management. This has given him opportunity to work very closely with Factory/Plant/Quality Assurance Managers in various industries ranging from steel milling and iron ore, food, pharmaceuticals, electrical & electronics, injection molding, metal, bolt & nuts and shoes. His consulting projects in service industries have included securities firm, insurance and health care.
Based on his previous consulting experience, Choong has set up and led the Training Centre of the OSK Group of Companies. From there, he built his competency in Human Performance Development, such as Change Management, Teambuilding, Problem Solving Skills, Quality Customer Service, Creative Thinking and Performance Management System.
From a local conglomerate, Choong has moved on to an US-based multinational company in global logistics. He has actively involved in regional matters in term of Quality, Administration, Security, Staffing, and Training & Development. With his position in senior management level, he has also straightened the implementation of operations & administration matters in KL office.
Currently, he is a lead auditor cum consultant. He is actively involved in consulting projects in the aspects of Quality & Productivity Improvement as well as Quality Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO/TS 16949 and OHSAS 18000).
Choong has conducted not less than 10000 public & in-house training programmes for senior managers, managers and executives for multi-national companies as well as local conglomerates. He is also one of the guest speakers of the MBA programme for one of the prestigious University of United States. |
