Introduction:

A high performance manager is one who is both effective and efficient in getting things done with and through others. It is essential that a combination of competencies such as personal competence, Interpersonal Competence and work competence entails both effectiveness in goal attainment and efficiency in resource utilization.

As such the core competencies under the personal competence cluster are achievement orientation, high self- esteem, integrity assertiveness and self-objectivity.
