Introduction:
To provide proper skills and techniques in order to develop training needs analysis (TNA) according to organizational objectives.
Objectives:
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

- Identify whether there is a training need in the organization
- Utilize the different methods of doing training needs analysis
- Determine the key areas for a training needs analysis to be done.
- Analyze the data from input of training needs of various key areas
- Interpret the data for training recommendation.

Program Content:
Module 1: Understanding of training needs analysis.
- What is the organizational vision and goals?
- Identify organizational objectives and priorities.
- Understanding the manpower planning –who and why?
- Critical success factors in doing training needs analysis
- Major failures when doing training needs analysis
- Getting support from all levels of staff for successful training needs analysis to be done

Module 2: Identifying key areas for a training needs analysis to take place.
- Determine the major operational problems concerning the organization
- Examine key results area where performance and results affect profitability the organization.
- Criteria and measurement to determine a management priority and commitment
- Determine present deficiencies and expected impact of change.

Module 3: Diagnostic methods and tools to use when doing training needs analysis.
- Individuals' indicators such as performance appraisal, job performance, description and job analysis
- Developing questionnaires for a thorough survey
- Random group circles and structured interviews
- Techniques in deriving skills inventory

Module 4: Final presentation-The Training Calendar
- Interpreting final analysis of the survey conducted
- Determine the training priorities.
- Planning of the training contents which includes the training objectives

Module 5: Techniques in presenting the training calendar.
- Highlight the main purpose of the training calendar.
- The organizational involvement towards training
- The derivation of training needs analysis

Methodology:
An interactive approach in which participants will be given opportunity to use the techniques and tools discussed during the training session.
